The Father Browne Prints Collection
The Titanic Trail is delighted to be able to offer a unique range of six photographic prints from the famous Father Browne Collection of Titanic images.
Francis Browne, a Jesuit priest, was “a master photographer with an unerring eye” and his photographic collection contains the only visual chronicle of photographs of the Titanic as she left Queenstown (Cobh) in Ireland to set across the Atlantic. Father Browne had travelled as a passenger on the Titanic from Southampton to Ireland, where he was fortunately ordered by his provencial to "GET OFF THAT SHIP".
